I believe in God Almighty — The Eternal One, without beginning or end; I believe that He eternally shines in glorious majesty through His attributes such as love, justice, holiness, power, wisdom, and faithfulness. I believe that even before the world was created, He had thought of me, and in the creation of heaven and earth, He had already planned for my needs, for the salvation of my body and soul, and that He loved me from the beginning.
I believe that God created angels, all worlds, and humans in holiness. I believe that God is not the originator of evil — Satan, demons, disease, thorns, loss, sorrow, death, and hell did not come from Him.
I believe that God and His angels are always with me, and that as soon as the first parents (Adam and Eve) fell into sin, He declared that He would send a Savior.
I believe that, for the sake of redeeming mankind, God manifested Himself through time as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — Yet He is not three Gods, but one God. Though this mystery is beyond human understanding, I believe it.
I believe that He proclaimed the coming of the Savior through believers over many generations, and in the end, Jesus Christ our Lord appeared in human form in this world. I believe that, in order for the Savior of all the world to be born, God chose one nation from among all nations, called the Jewish people, and through them taught divine truths, prepared them, and by their means gave the message of salvation to people of all religions.
I believe that, even so, the All-Merciful God has not forsaken people of all religions. Through the voice of their conscience, He continues to teach them moral truths, and through the wondrous works in all creation, He is revealing His power, love, wisdom, holiness, and justice.
I also believe that, although He deeply loves sinners, He does not love their sins. To lead human beings to forsake sin, He is a God of righteous judgment concerning sin, allowing punishments with a good intent — to make the sinner a virtuous person.
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, in human form, and according to His eternal nature as God, walked among us — revealing His divine nature and love through heavenly teachings, through miraculous acts of mercy, and ultimately by taking upon Himself my sins, my diseases, and my punishment on His cross and dying for me.
I believe that before His second coming, He will allow certain signs to take place, and that to make believers ready to participate in His return, He will pour out the Holy Spirit upon all believers. To prepare them to participate in His return, Then He will raise the dead in Christ, transform the living believers without death, and clothe them in glorious bodies. He, as the Bridegroom, is coming very soon to take them as His Bride.
I believe that afterward, great tribulations will spread over the earth for seven years for those left behind; and during that time of tribulation, many will come to faith. I believe that after this, the Lord will return to the earth, and will cast the Antichrist — the one who will rule for seven years as a counterfeit of Christ — along with the false prophet into the lake of fire, and bind Satan in a prison for a thousand years.
I believe that many will be saved even during those tribulations. After that, the Lord will reign as King over all the world in a renewed form, ruling in righteousness for a thousand years. During that time, the gospel will be preached through all the saints, and many will become true devotees of God.
Then, to reveal the response of those who heard the gospel during the thousand years and were alive at the end of it, I believe a judgment will be set up — comparing them to sheep and goats — to show who accepted the gospel and who rejected it.
I believe that at the end of the thousand years, Satan will be released, and through the rebellion he leads during that time, he will be fully exposed and then cast into the eternal lake of fire.
After this, I believe that all the unbelievers — from Adam until that time — who are in the graves, will be raised up and brought before the final, eternal judgment.
I believe in the Holy Spirit — that He is the One, working together with the Father and the Son. I believe that the Holy Scriptures were written through His inspiration, and only by His illumination can the Scriptures be understood. I believe that the salvation which the Father intended, and which the Son purchased through His precious blood, is made available to the believer only through the Holy Spirit. I also believe that the Holy Spirit is given as baptism to cause growth in the Christian life, and that He, along with the Father and the Son, is equally worthy of worship as God.
The Father is Father, the Son is Father, and the Holy Spirit is Father — yet, they are not three Fathers, but only one Father. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God — yet, they are not three Gods, but one God. I believe that for the sake of mankind’s salvation, God manifested Himself in this way — and He is my Father, my God, and my all.
Though God is not the author of human sufferings and losses, I believe that He uses those times to turn people back to Himself. I believe that the divine gospel is being proclaimed to make all people into God's own people. And even though many have not yet heard it, I believe that after their physical death, God gives them instruction in Hades, and saves those who believe even there.
I believe that no one other than the God who came as Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I believe that people of every religion, at some point, somewhere, in some way, will hear about Him — and that God gives enough time to everyone to turn toward Him. Until that time, no one is assigned to eternal heaven or hell.
I believe that the Bible is the book filled with all these truths, revealing the mind of God — the book which God has graciously given to humanity. According to this book, the true religion established for the salvation of all people is the Christian faith. Even though that faith has been divided into many missions because of differing opinions rather than the teachings of the Book itself, it still points to one God, one Savior, one salvation, and one Scripture.
When I do not understand the actions of God, I believe it is better for me not to fall into argument or reasoning, but to silently rest in the assurance that: "Everything God does is righteous." Amen.
