The Power of God's Word

Based on Psalm 119:89

Prayer: Holy Spirit God! Speak to each one of us gathered here. Amen.

  1. Beloved saints! Because you have hope, you are called righteous. Even if you were once unrighteous, the hope within you makes you righteous.
  2. You are righteous because you have struggled and come this far in your spiritual journey.
  3. You are righteous because you live peacefully and do not stir up trouble or act rebelliously.
  4. You are righteous because you not only listen to God's Word but also believe it and meditate on it.
  5. You are righteous because you have come to be freed from troubles, losses, and afflictions.
  6. You are righteous because you believe that the Lord will lead you to salvation at the end of this life.
  7. You believe you are children of God and not of the devil. Therefore, you are not sinners, not diseased, not poor, not ignorant—but wise and holy. Not based on your own merit, but based on Christ.

Let me now introduce a key spiritual concept: the Power of God’s Word.

The Word of God sends divine power into our spiritual, physical, and emotional ailments. When touched in faith, it activates healing, deliverance, and transformation.

Illustration: Fifty years ago in Rajahmundry, missionaries demonstrated a battery by placing it on the hand of the first child in a line of ten boys.

As they all held hands, the last boy shouted, “Ahh!”—because the current had passed through every one of them.

Likewise, when God’s Word is received in faith, its power flows through every part of our being.

The human body carries many afflictions—sicknesses, diseases, fevers, demonic oppression, and pain.

So God has given us His Living Word as a source of divine power. When you touch it with faith, it sends spiritual current into every need.

1. Power for Forgiveness – 1 John 1:7

“The blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin.”

Once, an elderly man on his deathbed couldn’t read anymore. He called his granddaughter and asked her to read from the Bible. She read 1 John 1:7. As she placed her fingers on the verse, the man felt something like electricity flowing through him. That was the power of Christ’s blood and the Word working together.

He rejoiced, saying, “My sins are gone!” and peacefully entered heaven. If you see sin in your life, place your fingers on this verse, read it, and pray:

“Lord Jesus, let the power of this Word enter into me.”

The life that is in the blood of Jesus will flow like divine current into your soul.

2. Power for Healing – Exodus 15:26

“I am the Lord who heals you.”

God didn’t say “I will heal them,” but “I will heal you”—personally and individually. If you are suffering from illness or weakness, place your fingers on this verse and pray. The divine power in the Word will flow into your body and heal every disease.

3. Power for Provision – Matthew 6:25–34

“Do not worry about what you will eat, drink, or wear.”

This Word is for the poor and needy—those lacking basic necessities. The Lord supplies all your needs from heaven. When in lack, read this passage and declare it in faith. The power in the Word will flow into every area of need: trouble, shortage, poverty, famine. It will restore you and make you more blessed than the wealthy. Even if there is no money in the bank, this verse provides all your spiritual and physical needs.

4. Power for Deliverance – James 4:7

“Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

If you are suffering from demonic attacks, spiritual oppression, or evil influences, place your fingers on this verse and pray. The power in the Word will drive the devil away. The enemy trembles before this Word’s authority.

5. Power for All Things – John 14:14

“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

This verse is the greatest power source of all. It includes everything—sins, sicknesses, poverty, demonic forces, unknown needs, and more. All spiritual blessings are contained within this one promise.

If you are wise, write this verse on the front page of your Bible. It contains:

  1. Faith
  2. Holiness
  3. Worship power
  4. Power to read the Word
  5. Courage for salvation
  6. Trust that prayers will be answered
  7. Confidence that God will supply even unspoken needs
  8. Wisdom for understanding
  9. Deliverance from all suffering and blessings

In this one verse are all the 365 promises of Scripture. There are 365 days in a year. Use one promise a day, and you will have spiritual power for every day of the year.

The Bible is your divine power source. Those who read and believe in it are spiritually rich, wise, and strong. Without the Bible, you do not have this power. Do not forget this message—share it with everyone.

Even blessing is one of the 365 power sources. As you receive this blessing, fix your mind on it. This is not my blessing—it is the blessing of the Lord Jesus.

Prayer: O Lord Jesus! Bless this anointing oil. Bless those who have written down these words. Let the power from this message and this blessing flow into everyone who receives it. Amen. When receiving the blessing, keep your heart focused only on Jesus. Nothing else is needed. Amen.
